SUMMARY OF SETTINGS: 2000
SETTING #1: TORONTO, ONTARIO
For those not familiar with Toronto, it is the capital of the Province of Ontario, not to be confused with the city of Ottawa, which is also in Ontario but is the capital of Canada. What kind of a place is Toronto? It is a melting pot of the world’s population with people from 170 countries living within its boundaries and speaking 100 different languages. It is a city of colour, culture, vibrancy and excitement, and has grace and style.
SETTING #2 EUROPE
Poland, Austria, Switzerland, Israel. The story moves from country to country as the key characters try to track down the 10 survivors from Birkenau. They are led from country to country.
SETTING #3: TORONTO and EUROPE
As the story unravels, the reporter in Europe finds herself caught in a series of events in which Israel’s existence is threatened. In Toronto, the detective is closing in on the man responsible for the skeleton found in a deserted house on Euclid Avenue, not knowing that he and the reporter are on the same case.
